In a recent press release, Asia’s pioneering software provider iOM announced its partnership with nopCommerce, one of the largest international shopping cart solution providers. Although iOM has been providing eCommerce solutions for a long time, this tie-up signals the ability to provide a wider range of options as well as support services to the newly energized online trading community.

Although the Covid-19 pandemic created an urgency amongst shop-owners and retailers at large, to be able to sell online as well as buyers to be able to make purchases online, iOM has been facilitating eCommerce internationally for over a decade. Freed of London, one of the worlds’ largest ballet shoe manufacturers have been using iOM’s eCommerce platform at a time when eCommerce was just emerging as a buzz word.

With the partnership with nopCommerce, iOM is now able to offer bespoke solutions in a fraction of the time it would otherwise take. This also helps in reducing the cost. This is made possible by having a large selection of readymade templates at the disposal of iOM’s team of dedicated software engineers. There is also an equally impressive array of off-the-shelf ‘plugins’ that enable easy integration. These include plugins for shipping and logistics providers, transaction gateways, Tier 1 ERP systems etc.

Head of Marketing for nopCommerce, Ms. Dunaenko expressed excitement and renewed optimism with the onboarding of iOM and said that their latest release (4.3) has been obtimised for speed and added security. It also includes GDPR compliance to address EU’s latest data protection directive. In a short span of 11 years nopCommerce has succeeded in having some of the largest names internationally using its software including BMW Group, Microsoft, Volvo, Harmon/Kardon, Speedo, Lacoste and NFL to name a few.

Not to be outdone, iOM’s 40-year history involves implementations of its Retail suite for names such as Bebe, Ted Baker, Charles & Keith, Adidas, Reebok, Tag Heuer etc., across Asia and the Middle-East. Mr. Daulagala overlooking the Sri Lankan operations of iOM said that the partnership with nopCommerce will help accelerate implementation times as well as infuse a rich array of options for its existing and prospective customers.

He went on to say that although historically iOM’s strength and focus was in lifestyle retailing solutions, with the addition of nopCommerce and iOM’s Mobile and Web Apps, iOM is now able to provide a truly seamless omni-channel experience to the Retailing community.
