iOM developed the first web enabled application as far back as 1995, creating a web enabled purchasing system, which integrated with the manufacturing and financial systems of one of the world's leading ERP packages.

Since then the company has designed and developed numerous web enabled applications and e-Business systems addressing areas such as personnel, recruitment, time recording and net billing systems, which integrate with leading financial packages, web enabled project planning, tracking and escalation systems. iOM's e-Systems are installed and being used in a number of countries in Asia and Europe, and several customized systems are currently under development for specific customer requirements.

iOM Divisions, known as e-Systems Divisions (e-SD) specialize in studying clients business processes and advising where the best web enabled applications or e-Business applications can:

  • Provide high-value addition, save costs and increase sales volumes.

  • Remove or greatly reduce duplication of excessive e-mail and/ or fax communications.

  • In many instances, either redefine the way a company does business or open up entirely new avenues of revenue generation for companies with very little if any, increase in operating overheads.

iOM recently delivered a substantial e-Business development project for one of the world's largest independent distributors of electronic products. iOM built an e-Business system that integrated into the client's central ERP system. The client's customers now have the facility to browse the product catalogue, place an order from almost any part of the world and get the item shipped to the destination by making a credit card payment. They could also track the order progression using this facility. This system is currently in the process of being installed in 17 locations in Europe. e-SD devotes a great deal of time and effort researching the latest web and e-development tools and methodologies to ensure that clients are given the best advice and take advantage of a technology that is developing and revolutionizing businesses faster than anything known to e-Business before.
